Egyptian Farm House

This model was built for ancient era war games and represents a 2-story mud brick farmhouse. The base is foam core covered in vinyl spackle with some sand added. The places where the brick showed through I made by adding some pieces of embossed plastic brick available at model railroad stores. “O” scale bricks work best for this scale. Steps were made from successively shorter pieces of foam core stacked one atop the other. Notice the “vent” on the roof. If I were to make it more realistic I’d put a canopy over part of the roof, but then I could not get figures on it easily.
