Undead Sphinx

The wonderful model that Crocodile Games used to sell first inspired me. Later Games Workshop “borrowed” this idea and did an article in White Dwarf. This version predates the article. I tried going for the concept that this would be made of blocks, then carved and plastered. The skull is a small Halloween trinket I got from a decoration store for 75 cents. The rest was cut from cast of Styrofoam packing blocks using a hot wire cutter. I made an open doorway and steps between the front paws so it looks like a tomb entrance. I plastered the bricks and the skull with vinyl spackling with a liberal amount of sand and tan paint mixed in.
